Malmstrom Military Justice Report Oct. 2009 Published Nov. 13, 2009 By 341st Missile Wing Staff Judge Advocate's Office staff MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The following individuals received non-judicial punishment in October: An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to airman basic, 10 days restriction, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand for wrongful use of marijuana. An airman from the 341st Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to airman basic, suspended forfeitures of $200 pay for two months, and 60 days restriction for failing to refrain from bringing a personal cell phone into the weapons storage area and for falling asleep on post. A staff sergeant from the 341st Maintenance Operations Squadron received a suspended reduction to senior airman, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand for dereliction of duty for failing to follow work center policy. An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the grade of airman for assault by spitting on a fellow wingman's face and slapping the cell phone out of the member's hand. An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a suspended reduction to airman, five days restriction, five days extra duty and a reprimand for failing to remain vigilant while posted at the weapons storage area by playing a dice game. A senior airman from the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to airman first class, a suspended forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand for failing to remain vigilant while posted at the weapons storage area by playing a dice game and by failing to maintain standards prescribed for military housing. An airman first class from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a suspended reduction to airman, 20 days extra duty and a reprimand for failing to go at the time prescribed to the appointed place of duty. An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to airman with reduction to airman basic suspended, 14 days restriction, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand for DUI. NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
