AF Hoops hits the Air Force Published Feb. 4, 2010 By 341st Force Support Squadron Marketing Division MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- Last year, more than 22,000 entries were made in the Air Forces National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship on-line bracket tournament promotion. This year promises to be even bigger. The AF Hoops promotion gives Air Force sports fans (eligible ID card holders over the age of 18), the chance to win big prizes by selecting teams in the NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. "The beauty of it is you don't have to get the teams right to win prizes," said Fred McKenney, Chief, AF Food and Beverage Division. "You have a chance to win, just by registering and entering your bracket selections." Beginning Feb. 16, you can pick up a game piece at the Grizzly Bend Club/Community Center or Aces High Bowling Center (no purchase required) and register on-line using the code on the game piece. Then on March 14, you can fill in your tournament bracket selections. Up to 10 brackets may be played. Picks can be made and changed, but final picks for all rounds must be submitted by 6 a.m. EST, March 18. The first place prize of $10,000 is sponsored by Coca Cola. The second place winner receives $5,000; third place is $2,500, fourth place is $1,000.
