The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund posted the official application for its 2010-11 scholarship competition on its Web site. Scholarship applications will be accepted until March 26, 2010.

The only nonprofit charity devoted solely to federal employees and their families, FEEA has awarded more than $9 million dollars in scholarships since inception. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 per student, and each student who submits an application is also eligible for one of six $5,000 FEEA-NTEU scholarships.

FEEA also administers more than a dozen ancillary programs, for such partner organizations as American Federation of Government Employees, Blacks in Government, Federal Managers Association, Federal Aviation Administration Managers Association, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, National Council of Social Security Management Associations, and Professional Managers Association. Most of these partner programs are open only to members and their children and provide an additional $1,000 to $2,000.

The scholarship competition is open to civilian federal and postal employees with at least three years of service, as well as their spouses and children. Requirements include acceptance into an accredited degree program, full-time study (required for dependents only), and a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.

The scholarship application may be downloaded from FEEA's Web site at www.feea.org or requested by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: FEEA Scholarships, 3333 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Suite 300, Lakewood, CO 80227.
