Congratulations are in order for Senior Airman Katelyn Switzer, 341st Missile Wing Chapel Services, and Staff Sgt. Christopher Burns, 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron's Electro-Mechanical Team section. Both are recipients of Big Sky Top-3 quarterly academic scholarships for the first quarter of 2010. They each received a check for $150 to be used towards education expenses. Airman Switzer is pursuing her Community College of the Air Force associates degree and Sergeant Burns is pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies.

The Big Sky Top-3 awards two scholarships each quarter; one for Airmen in the grades E-1 to E-4 and one for NCOs in the grades E-5 to E-6. The requirements are a short essay (of any subject selected by the author and up to three pages in length) and proof of attending a college or university. The deadline for the next quarter's essays is June 30 and must be submitted to Senior Master Sgt. Sam McPherson or Master Sgt. James Spino.
