ITT returns to Malmstrom Published Aug. 27, 2010 By Airman 1st Class Kristina Overton 341st Missile Wing Public Affairs Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- Planning a trip can be time consuming. Trying to figure out where to go, configuring all the costs and then planning activities while visiting can be somewhat of a hassle. To help ease some of that stress, the Grizzly Bend Community Center will be introducing the Information, Tickets and Travel agency during a soft opening Sept. 8. The ITT is a one-stop travel agency offering discounted services for a variety of local activities and attractions, vacation packages, shopping trips and more. "The ITT was requested by popular demand here at Malmstrom," said Bonnie Runge, 341st Force Support Squadron community support flight chief. "Trained experts will be working to provide the base with ample opportunities to get out and see Montana while they're here. Initially, with the soft opening, we'll offer tickets for local activities. As we expand, we'll begin offering bigger services and vacation packages." Some local activities will include shopping trips to Billings, discounted movie tickets, hotel stays and cabin rentals. Eventually, the ITT will provide tickets and travel accommodations anywhere from Disney World to family trips to Europe. "One of the great things about having the new ITT here is that some of the money people spend on their trips and vacations will filter back into the installation," Ms. Runge said. "Customers will get what they want and the base will get some of those funds which will ultimately enhance base community life." The ITT will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For last minute travel enthusiasts, they will also be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. "You often hear people say there's nothing to do in Great Falls, nothing to do in Montana, but there are plenty of things available if they know where to look," said Sherry Pschernig, 341st FSS ITT manager. "It's convenient for everyone and located right here on the base for them to just stop in. People won't have to go downtown anymore, prices are lower here and they'll be able to have a more personal relationship with someone who understands their military lifestyle and needs. They can plan trips home, vacations and activities year round." The soft opening will be a Hawaiian luau-themed open house with food, drinks and prizes. Information about future activities and services will be provided. For more information about the ITT, call Ms. Runge at 731-2310.
