What’s new with the Sponsorship Training Program at Malmstrom AFB?

  • Published
Recently a comprehensive training application was put together at Military Home-Front to provide a standardized sponsorship training program for all branches of service. The end result is a very user-friendly program that provides the service member the opportunity to complete their mandatory sponsorship training once appointed as a sponsor. A generated copy of the sponsor's certificate is available upon completion of the training. Per AFI36-3009 3.10.2.6 First-time sponsors and those who have not been trained as a sponsor during the past year must receive sponsorship training.

The web link also offers welcome letter templates, welcome packages, relocation websites and other additional information the sponsor will need in providing quality sponsorship to their inbound personnel. The web link is http://apps.mhf.dod.mil/esat

Are you a spouse wanting to share information and make another family's PCS better? A link has also been developed for military spouses so that they may provide assistance to newly arriving families. Simply type in http://www.militaryinstallations.dod.mil, in the browser window. Cursor down to, "Are you a sponsor," select "Learn more about the process" and complete the unsecured public training. The training will teach the spouses sponsorship roles and responsibilities, and provide them with the knowledge and resources for effective sponsorship.
