Through the Air Force Aid Society Spouse Employment Program, Malmstrom was recently approved to offer the Certified Nursing Assistant Program in partnership with Spectrum Medical Services. Through this program, the Air Force Aid Society will pay for 10 spouses of active-duty military to become certified CNA's in hopes of receiving employment immediately after.

Spouses will only need to attend one training session to become certified. Certification is for the state of Montana. If you move to another state, you may require additional coursework to keep up the certification. Due to the high interest for the program, the Airman & Family Readiness Center will, 1.) Have application packets available, but they must be returned no later than March 4, 2.) Review packets and schedule interviews, 3.) Select and schedule dates for certification.

If you are a spouse of an active-duty military member and are interested in becoming a CNA, please visit the Airman and Family Readiness Center to pick up an application. For more information, please contact Karan Godette at 731-4900.
