This year's Air Force Assistance Fund "Commitment to Caring" campaign will again provide Airmen the opportunity to contribute to any of the four official Air Force charitable organizations.

Malmstrom will kick off its campaign March 7 and it will continue through April 15, according to Senior Master Sgt. Kimberly Thompkins, the 341st Missile Wing point of contact, who will be assisted by Master Sgt. Jane Pullo during the fundraising event.

Now in its 38th year, 100-percent of designated AFAF contributions will benefit active-duty, Reserve, Guard, retired Air Force people, surviving spouses and families.

Last year, Air Force Global Strike Command Airmen of the 341st Missile Wing contributed more than $64,000 exceeding their goal of $50,978 for 125.93 percent of their goal. This year organizers have set a goal of $53,412. People can contribute by cash, check, money order or use payroll deduction to donate to any of the following organizations:

Base staff members at Airman and Family Readiness Centers have full details on programs and eligibility requirements. Information also is available online at www.afas.org.

-The Air Force Enlisted Village Indigent Widows' Fund supports the Air Force Village in Shalimar, Fla., near Eglin Air Force Base.
