Trophies and gift certificates will be awarded to the winners following the three-game tournament. Up to 11 teams of four are requested to sign up for the event no later than Sept. 6. Volunteers needed for Walk for Autism NorthCentral Montana Autism Society of America is having their annual "Walk for Autism" scheduled for noon, Saturday, Sept. 10 at Gibson Park. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend the last meeting scheduled Sept. 6 at 5:30 p.m., at 215 Smelter Ave. NE at the Quality Life Concepts Building. Volunteers and riders needed for Pedal for the Medal Pedal for the Medal cycling event to benefit Special Olympics Montana is scheduled to take place Sept. 10 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will start and finish at Gore Hill near the Great Falls International Airport. Riders will have a choice of 25, 50 and 100-mile routes. Those interested in volunteering or riding in the event can get all the details at www.somt.org. Religious education picnic to kick-off A religious education picnic is scheduled for Sept. 11 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Sun Plaza Park. Fried chicken and drinks will be provided.
