Conversion to AFNet has been postponed
The computer migration into a central Air Force Network for Malmstrom's work center computers that was scheduled to begin Sept. 6 has been postponed to Sept. 26. See next week's Front Range Guardian for complete details or call the Comm. Focal Point at 731-2622.

Boy Scouts recruiting scheduled
Malmstrom Cub Scouts Pack 43 Recruitment Night for boys in 1st through 5th grade is tonight in the Loy Elementary School Gym from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Popcorn will be available along with information on what the Cub Scouts offers. Anyone not able to attend can email cspack43@gmail.com for more information on Cub Scouting.

Teams needed for Walk to end Alzheimer's
The Walk to End Alzheimer's event is scheduled to take place Sunday, Sept. 18. People interested in signing up a team for the event should visit www.alv.org and follow the Montana link to Great Falls. Individual education planning training to be held Sept. 23
Sharon Lindstrom, director of student services, Great Falls public schools, will be training on the IEP process Sept. 23 at the Airman and Family Readiness Center in building 1192 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. IEP is available for parents of a child with a special need. Anyone interested in reserving a seat needs to RSVP by Sept. 21 by calling Karan Godette at 731-4900.

Scouts to tell popcorn
Boy Scout Troop 43 and Cub Scout Pack 43 will begin taking orders for popcorn Sept. 24. to Oct. 15. The scouts will visit base housing Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Residences will be given a popcorn marker to place in the front window to show they have been contacted. Top 3 offering scholarships
The Big Sky Top 3 is awarding two college scholarships this quarter - one to an Airman and one to an NCO. Applicants are to submit a two page essay (double spaced, original work) relating to the United States Air Force's core values by Sept. 30. Entries should be sent to

Thrift store winter hours
The thrift store on base will be open Tuesday, Friday and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The store is located at Bldg. 581 on Goddard Drive.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University registration to start for winter term
ERAU will start registration for the winter 2011 term on October 1. The winter term will start October 17 and classes available are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Math 106, which are 9-12 weeks long. Classes can be taken onsite, online or through the Eagle Vision System. Tuition assistance, federal financial aid, grants, scholarships, private pay and Veteran's benefits are accepted. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a non-profit, regionally accredited university. Credits count toward a Community College of the Air Force degree as well as associates, bachelor's and master's degree.
