Access gates return to regular hours
The access gates to Malmstrom have returned to their normal operations. The 2nd Avenue North gate will be open 24-hours-a-day and the 10th Avenue North gate will resume its operating hours of Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Scouts to sell popcorn
Boy Scout Troop 43 and Cub Scout Pack 43 will begin taking orders for popcorn Sept. 24 through Oct. 15. The Scouts will visit base housing Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Residents will be given a popcorn marker to place in the front window to show they have been contacted. Recruiting new Victim Advocates
The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office is accepting applications for new Victim Advocates. Anyone not in the security forces, medical, legal or chaplain career fields is eligible to apply and should contact Tracy May at 731-4130 for an application if interested. Applications should be turned in no later than Oct. 14, as mandatory training is scheduled for Oct. 24-28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What Women Want Expo need volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help with the What Women Want Expo on Oct. 6-8. Volunteers are needed for the following shifts: Oct. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m.; Oct. 7 from 8 to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.; and Oct. 8 from 7 to 10 a.m., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. For more information or to sign up, contact Susan Balance at 791-6524 or via email at sballance@greatfallstribune.com.  

Confirmation Mass to be held Sept. 29

Spanish Mass scheduled
A Spanish Mass, given by Archbishop Broglio, will be held Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Afterwards, there will be a lunch in the Chapel Annex open to everyone attending the event. For more information, contact Kristen McGuire at 731-4235.

Top 3 offering scholarships
The Big Sky Top 3 is awarding two college scholarships this quarter - one to an Airman and one to an NCO. Applicants are to submit a two page essay (double spaced, original work) relating to the United States Air Force's core values by Sept. 30. Entries should be sent tojustin.lanes@malmstrom.af.mil.

Chapel offering mom, tot prayer group
The Base Chapel is offering a "Mom and Tot Prayer Group" every Monday at 10 a.m. in the Sunbeam room. The group is open to all mothers with toddlers. For more information, contact Beth Fasting at 731-3258.

Thrift store winter hours
The thrift store on base will be open Tuesday, Friday and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The store is located in Bldg. 581 on Goddard Drive.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University registration to start for winter term
ERAU will start registration for the winter 2011 term on Oct. 1. The winter term will start Oct. 17 and classes available are Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Math 106, which are 9-12 weeks long. Classes can be taken onsite, online or through the Eagle Vision System. Tuition assistance, federal financial aid, grants, scholarships, private pay and Veteran's benefits are accepted. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a non-profit, regionally accredited university. Credits count toward a Community College of the Air Force degree as well as associates, bachelor's and master's degree.
