Team Malmstrom exceeds annual goal for CFC funds Published Dec. 1, 2011 By Senior Airman Reggie Manning 341st Missile Wing Public Affairs MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- Team Malmstrom recently completed this year's Combined Federal Campaign. The base wide goal was set at $95,000 on Oct. 3, and ended with $123,451.14 total funds raised on Nov. 13 - exceeding the goal by 30 percent. The theme of CFC for 2011 was, '50 Years of Caring.' honoring the campaign's 50th anniversary. Group representatives worked passionately informing members about the CFC and accepting donations via cash, checks and allotments. "This year's success is due to all of the hard work of key workers and the generosity of Team Malmstrom," said Master Sgt. Jason Halvari, Mechanical and Pneudraulics Section NCO in charge, 341st Maintenance Operation Squadron The CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world, and also raise millions of dollars each year. "Over the last 50 years, the CFC has raised nearly $7 billion to help combat disease, protect our planet, feed the hungry, and lift up individuals and communities at home and around the world. The outpouring of kindness from our Nation's public servants reflects the American spirit of compassion, and reminds each of us of the profound impact we can have when we join together in common cause," wrote President Barrack Obama in a 50th anniversary letter to the CFC foundation.
