Balfour Beatty Communities, the developer chosen by the Air Force to privatize Military Family Housing, will conduct a series of lease signing events starting Jan. 17 at the Grizzly Bend.

The events will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 18 and 19.

Every resident of base housing must sign a one-year lease in order to continue living in their unit after the effective privatization date of March 1. The leases will be approved by the Air Force and include clauses that release military members based upon deployments, orders and retirements.

"Please come to the Grizzly Bend during one of these events. We will review the lease and the resident guide with you before we ask you to sign." said Jennifer Benski, BBC's community manager for Malmstrom. "We will also answer any questions you might have related to housing privatization."

Spouses of military members are encouraged to attend and will be able to sign the leases without the military member if they have a Special Power of Attorney that mentions privatized housing. BBC will have refreshments available throughout the day.

If individuals are unable to attend one of the events, they are encouraged to stop by the housing office to sign their leases.

Anyone with questions prior to the events can visit BBC at the housing office or at "Malmstrom AFB Homes" on Facebook.
