Proper disposal of refuse, recyclables

MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- Military Family Housing occupants are required to use the privatization contractor's refuse collection resources to dispose of their waste. The tan dumpsters on Malmstrom are only for government offices, for official use only. Budget reductions have reduced the collection service to a minimum.

Do not place trash on top of or around your facility's dumpster. A central collection station has been established behind building 226 to support overflow situations. This station is under 24-hour surveillance and violators will be reported to security forces.

Any organization generating a large volume of refuse will need to develop a plan to collect and transport refuse to the central collection station. The central collection station is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday on regular duty days. Missile crews returning after these hours may use the dumpster located at building 3081.
