Summer reading under way A summer reading program, "Reading is so Delicious! Eat, Move, Read," is scheduled to run through July 31 at the library for children ages 2 to 16. Outdoor Recreation trips slated The following are upcoming family-oriented outdoor adventure trips offered by Malmstrom's Outdoor Recreation: · A Missouri River family float is scheduled for July 22 from 1 to 7 p.m. Participants will float through the upper Missouri River canyon. · A caving adventure into Lick Creek Cave featuring the Cathedral Room is scheduled for July 29 from 1 to 8 p.m. For more information, call Outdoor Recreation at 731-3263. Gates of the Mountains boat tour A Gates of the Mountains boat tour is scheduled for July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants will learn about area geology, wildlife, ecology and Native American pictographs. Doubles racquetball tournament A doubles racquetball tournament is scheduled for July 25 at 11 a.m. Matches will be played on courts 2, 3 and 4. Multicultural Fair to be held Aug. 2 Malmstrom will be holding its annual Multicultural Fair Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sun Plaza Park. The fair is held to celebrate the diversity of Airmen across the Air Force and will feature food samplings, live acts and displays of many different cultural heritages. Invitation extended to attend Heart Link spouse orientation program All new military spouses who have not attended Heart Link at Malmstrom are invited to attend the next Heart Link scheduled for Aug. 17 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Malmstrom Chapel. Lunch will be provided and free childcare, funded by the Air Force Aid Society, is available through the Malmstrom Home Day Care Providers program. Course 20 to close to new enrollees Course 20 will close to new enrollees Sept. 28. Current students will graduate or be disenrolled after 12 months plus one optional three-month extension for those remaining in good standing and have passed at least two of the three required exams. Course 20 enrollment will not occur after Dec. 27, 2013. Students who have not completed the course by Dec. 27, 2013, will have to re-enroll in the new Course 20 class.
