The spotlight shined bright on the best-of-the-best 341st Missile Wing Airmen and civilians during the 2012 Annual Awards Banquet at the Grizzly Bend on Feb. 22.

Following a detail by the Malmstrom Air Force Base Honor Guard, a special speaker was introduced - retired 8th Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, Sam Parish.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be a part of your awards banquet and to be able to address this distinguished group," Parish said. "It's great to be back here. We're here tonight to honor great achievers. Tonight culminates a very exciting time for all of you and will be remembered for a very long time. All of you did a superb job to get where you're at and now we recognize you for going the extra mile."

Col. Robert Stanley, 341st MW commander, echoed Parish's sentiments.

"What a great night to be an Airman," Stanley said. "I want to say thank you to all of our community leaders and to our families who came out for this. You've created a memory for the award recipients that they will never forget."
