Park Public Speaking Exam addition
Due to an increase in testing requests, Park University has added a day for the Public Speaking exam. All tests are given at the Education and Training Center. The following is the new schedule:
· Tuesdays: 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. (two speech exams scheduled for 9 a.m. slot only)
· Wednesdays: 9 a.m. (speech exams only; the verbal portion is scheduled after 11 a.m.)
· Thursdays: 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. (two speech exams scheduled for 9 a.m. slot only)
To schedule a public speaking exam, contact Park University at 761-7540.

Chapel events offered
The following are events being offered by Malmstrom's Chapel:
· A meatless Friday dinner will be held every Friday starting at 5 p.m. through May 31.
· A Stations of the Resurrection Service will be held every Friday through May 31 starting at 5:30 p.m.
· The chapel's Sunday Catholic Mass begins now at 9 a.m.

Local animal rescue in need of volunteers
Pet Paw-See, a nonprofit animal rescue organization in Great Falls, needs volunteers to help set up tables and cages every Friday at 7 p.m. for Petco's "Adopathon," which will be held every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteers are also needed daily to help to clean litter boxes. Bow hunter education courses offered
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is offering a free bow hunter education classroom course at Paris Gibson Education Center, located at 2400 Central Ave. The course is scheduled for May 14 and 16 from 6 to 9 p.m., and May 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information or to register, go to the FWP website at http://www.fwp.mt.gov. Registration is also taking place at the FWP, located at 4600 Giant Spring Road, on May 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Students are required to pick up and read the bow hunter education manual before the first class. Prospective bow hunters between the ages of 12 and 17 must take both a hunter and bow hunter education course before they can attain an archery license. All bow hunters, regardless of age, must complete a bow hunter education course. For more information, call the FWP office in Great Falls at 454-5840.

Volunteers needed for annual book sale
The Great Falls Public Library is holding their annual book sale on May 16, 18 and 19. The library is in need of volunteers for the event, as well as any time until then to sort books. Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Jude Smith at 453-0349 or jusmith@greatfallslibrary.org.

Health and Fitness Fair
There will be a Health and Fitness Fair and Sports Day being held at the fitness center May 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include health fair booths, food, drinks and sport events. Registration for all sport events will be held on a signup sheet at the front desk. For more information, contact Senior Airman Miriam Santiago at 731-3600.

Outdoor adventure trips
The following are outdoor adventure trips offered by Malmstrom's Outdoor Recreation:
· Whitewater Raft Guide Training classes offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Class Lesson III is scheduled for April 29 or May 2. Participants must attend at least two on-river training days, scheduled for April 27 and 28 or May 4 and 5.
· An Adventure Whitewater Paddlers raft guide training weekend is scheduled for April 27 or 28 and May 4 or 5 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
· An Extreme Whitewater Lochsa Weekend is scheduled to depart Malmstrom May 11 at 6 a.m. and return May 12 at 10 p.m. The trip will include intense whitewater rafting on the Clark Fork (or Blackfoot River depending on water levels) and the Lochsa in Idaho. The trip fee includes two river runs, transportation, lodging, four meals and equipment.
