A summary of the 341st Missile Wing’s recent Courts-Martial and Non-Judicial Punishments: 15 July 2019 – 14 August 2019.

Non-Judicial Punishments:

A First Lieutenant from 341st Security Support Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for driving a vehicle while under the influence. The member received a forfeiture of $1,250 of pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

A Senior Airman from 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for failure to go to their appointed place of duty, failure to obey a lawful order, failure to pay a debt, and for making and uttering a worthless check. The member received a reduction to the grade of Airman First Class, and suspended forfeiture of $1,160 pay per month for two months.

An Airman First Class from 341st Munitions Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for willful dereliction and false official statement. The member received a reduction to the grade of Airman and a reprimand.

Nonjudicial punishment is ordinarily appropriate when administrative corrective measures are inadequate due to the nature of the minor offense or the record of the service member, unless it is clear only trial by court-martial will meet the needs of justice and discipline. Nonjudicial punishment shall be considered on an individual basis.
A commander who is considering a case for disposition under nonjudicial punishment will exercise personal discretion in evaluating each case, both as to whether nonjudicial punishment is appropriate, and, if so, as to the nature and amount of punishment appropriate.
