Military Justice Summary - November 2018

The following is a summary of recent Non-Judicial Punishments here Oct. 15 through Nov. 14, 2018:

A First Lieutenant from 10th Missile Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for drunk driving. The member received forfeitures of $1,000 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

An Airman 1st Class from 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for wrongful use of marijuana. The member was reduced to Airman and received forfeitures of $918 pay per month for two months with one month suspended, and a reprimand.

An Airman 1st Class from 341 LRS received Non-Judicial Punishment for wrongful use of a controlled substance analog. The member was reduced to Airman, received forfeitures of $918 pay per month for two months with one month suspended, and a reprimand.

An Airman from 341 LRS received Non-Judicial Punishment for failure to go and wrongful use of a controlled substance analog. The member was reduced to Airman Basic, received forfeitures of $819 pay per month for two months with one month suspended, and a reprimand.

A Staff Sergeant from 341st Security Forces Squadron received Non-Judicial Punishment for being disrespectful to a superior non-commissioned officer. The member received a suspended reduction to Senior Airman, forfeiture of $329 pay per month for two months, 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

An Airman 1st Class from 341 SFS received Non-Judicial Punishment for dereliction of duty. The member received a reduction to Airman, suspended forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, suspended 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

An Airman from 341 SFS received Non-Judicial Punishment for dereliction of duty. The member was reduced to Airman Basic, received suspended forfeitures of $500 pay per month for two months, 10 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

An Airman from 341 SFS received Non-Judicial Punishment for misbehavior of a sentinel. The member was reduced to Airman Basic, had 14 days extra duty suspended, and a reprimand.

An Airman First Class from 741st Maintenance Squadron received a Non-Judicial Punishment for wrongfully having sexual intercourse with a married woman and for unlawfully entering a dwelling. The member received a suspended reduction to Airman, a suspended forfeiture of $340 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

Non-Judicial Punishment is ordinarily appropriate when administrative corrective measures are inadequate due to the nature of the minor offense or the record of the service member, unless it is clear that only trial by court-martial will meet the needs of justice and discipline. Non-Judicial Punishment shall be considered on an individual basis.
