Federal Job Search:
Class held monthly that teaches the 10 steps to a federal job, as well as how to search for federal jobs and write a federal resume for use on usajobs.gov.
Civilian Resume Class:
Class held bi-monthly teaching basic knowledge of resume writing guidelines and styles, basic interviewing skills and dressing for success.
Military Spouse Priority Placement Program (PPP):
Class held monthly on understanding the Priority Placement Program/PPP and eligibility requirements. Participants will learn to write a narrative resume for Program S.
Interviewing and Dressing for Success:
Class held monthly for those entering or re-entering the workforce and are preparing for an interview. Prepares individuals for dressing for an interview.
What Career do I want to do and How do I get there?:
Class held monthly for those entering or re-entering the workforce and are preparing for an interview. Participants will accomplish an interest profiler, research career options available and what is needed to get to that career (i.e. education and or certifications), and discuss labor market information.
LinkedIn 101:
LinkedIn is an online social network for business professionals. Class held monthly to teach individuals how to establish a profile and basics of how to utilize LinkedIn for their professional career.
Entrepreneur Training Track (2-day class):
Class held quarterly for those interested in small business ownership presented by the Small Business Administration, in partnership with the Great Falls Business Authority.
Career Technical Training Track (2-day class):
Class held quarterly for those interested in pursuing further technical training presented by the Department of Labor Counselors. Participants receive guidance and help in selecting schools and technical fields.
Accessing Higher Education Training Track (2-day class):
Presented by the Air Force Education Counselors, this bi-monthly class helps guide and prepare individuals through the college application process.
The Airman and Family Readiness Center also maintains job employment information from a variety of agencies and partners with several Federal Agencies to promote employment opportunities, such as Customs and Border Protection, the State Department and Forest Service just to name a few.
