MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. --
Airman and Family Readiness Centers provide relocation assistance to service members and their families. The goal of the AFRC Relocation Assistance Program is to ease the personal and family stressors military families experience associated with a permanent change of station by providing assistance, counseling, sponsorship training and education throughout all phases of the relocation process.
Relocation assistance is available to service members and their families authorized to make a PCS. A successful move is not a matter of chance, it is the result of planning and hard work. At the center of these efforts is each individual.
Individuals must play an active role if they expect a good move. There are steps that can be taken and resources available to help plan and stay organized during a military move.
The relocation program has the most virtual resources of all services provided in the AFRC. Most customers can access online tools to assist them with their PCS, contact a local AFRC, and receive assistance with relocation planning and preparation or other needed services. Visit the website listed for ‘Military Installations’ below to download an installation booklet of major unit listings, directories of programs, services availability and contacts information on your installation.
Individuals can also visit Military OneSource, a website provided by the Department of Defense at no cost to active duty, Guard and Reserve (regardless of activation status) and their families.
