Formerly known as Airman and Family Readiness Center, the Military and Family Readiness Center offers programs and support services to assist members and their families navigate the demands and challenges of the military lifestyle. M&FRCs collaborate with other base and local helping agencies to increase customer support and enhance individual, family, and community resiliency.

With the establishment of the U.S. Space Force and consideration of joint base environments, the Department of the Air Force changed the name of Airman and Family Readiness Center to a more inclusive name - Military and Family Readiness Center, said Tracie Faulk, Malmstrom M&FRC flight chief.

Despite the name change, the services offered at Malmstrom remain the same.

Services include: deployment planning and support, personal financial management, relocation assistance, employment assistance, exceptional family member support, transition assistance, emergency and crisis support, said Dawn Beal, Malmstrom M&FRC community readiness consultant.

The M&FRC provides a personal and family readiness foundation by providing services for individuals and their families or referring them to outside agencies.

“Malmstrom’s M&FRC staff are highly skilled to assist all active-duty members, guard, Reserve, DoD & NAF civilians, retirees and family members,” said Faulk. “Our staff hold specialized training and certifications in personal financial counseling, federal resume writing, career coaching, and communication assessment.”

Additionally, Malmstrom’s M&FRC offers services from a Military Family Life consultant, Veteran’s Administrative representative and a personal financial counselor.
