What is HEAT?

Housing Early Assistance Tool (HEAT) creates an easy on-line experience to connect you, the Service Member, with your future destination and offers an on-line venue to obtain housing assistance prior to a PCS transfer. HQ Air Force Housing has successfully implemented HEAT across the AF Enterprise so members can reach out to installations when preparing for transition. Installations are accessible through the HEAT tool across CONUS and most OCONUS installations. Members should use HEAT when preparing to transfer to their new assignment. To apply for on-base housing at your next base or to learn more about HEAT go to their website.

Instructions: You'll be asked to put in your branch of service, current duty location and then you'll choose what base you are projected to PCS to.  Once everything has been filled out, you'll click "continue" and then you'll have 4 options to choose from (please read all options before choosing), and click "continue", it will then ask your name, phone number & email and then you'll click on "Agree". Your request will be input into the Air Force system and your projected base should get a notification and send you an application. If you have not received an application from your new base within a week or 2, please contact the Military Housing Office at your next duty location to ensure they received your request.
