COLONEL NATHAN B. MITCHELL

Colonel Nathan Mitchell is the 341st Maintenance Group Commander at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. He is responsible for more than 550 Airmen and all sustainment, modernization, and deployment operations required in sustaining and modernizing up to 150 Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles and associated launch facilities and launch control centers throughout the 13,800 square mile complex. He is also the senior advisor to the Wing Commander for all logistics and maintenance matters.

Colonel Mitchell entered the Air Force in 1999 as a graduate of Baylor University. During his career, he has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and served in various maintenance positions in intercontinental ballistic missiles, munitions, and aircraft units and is a Joint Qualified Officer with staff assignments in the Joint Staff and United States Forces Korea.

Prior to assuming his current position, Colonel Mitchell was the deputy inspector general for Air Force Global Strike Command.
